At the foot of the Tai Lam Chung Reservoir, and along Tuen Man Road in West New Territories, lies the sub-strict of Siu Lam (小欖). Siu Lam is a mainly residential area with low to medium-rise residential developments and local villages. The main public housing complex in Sui Lam is the Palatial Coast, described as a quiet and relaxing environment. Additional parts of the Siu Lam area have been rezoned for residential use and are therefore expected to grow further. Siu Lam and has good connectivity via major highways, namely Tuen Mun Road and Castle Peak Road (Tai Lam). Siu Lam is also known for the Siu Lam Psychiatric centre. Tuen Mun, the closest MTR station, is approximately a 12-minute taxi ride away.
