North Point (北角) is located in the northeastern part of Hong Kong Island, between Fortress Hill and Quarry Bay. Known as 'Little Shanghai', North Point is a popular mixed-use urban area frequented by many budding photographers looking to capture the quintessential Hong Kong photograph - especially at the Chun Yeung Street Wet market. North Point offers reasonably priced accommodation on the Hong Kong Island and transport links are good too, with North Point being serviced by the blue Island Line and the purple Tseung Kwan O line on the MTR. Or if you prefer, you can take the cheaper and more scenic route via the Tram. North Point is home to the following housing estates: Model Housing Estate, Healthy Village and City Garden. While there are no major shopping malls in the immediate area, many of North Point residents don't mind this because most of the neighbouring areas (e.g. Causeway Bay) provide plenty of retail options to satisfy their needs, all of which are a short bus, taxi, tram or MTR ride away.
