Fairview Park (錦綉花園) is one of two very big, private, low-rise residential housing estates developed in the Yuen Long District of New Territories. Fairview Park estate is located very near an important ecological region with Shan Pui River and its estuary, Mai Po Nature Reserve, and Deep Bay (Shenzhen Bay) all close by. Overlooking the Nam Sang Wai wetland area, Fairview Park has approximately 5,000 freestanding and semi-detached houses each with their own front and rear gardens. The fact that no high-rise apartment buildings exist anywhere in the area makes this housing development unlike any other in Hong Kong. The estate itself offers residents plenty of convenience with a country club, a large artificial lake, a church, a community centre, a children's playground, a fire station, many parks, 3 different schools and plenty of space for leisure activities. The entire development is roughly 12.5 million square feet in size and features 112 streets and 60 green areas.
