Fortress Hill is a predominantly residential neighbourhood overlooking Hong Kong Victoria harbour on the North shore of Hong Kong Island between Tin Hau and North Point. In recent years, the area near Fortress Hill has seen a construction boom of new residential buildings and shopping malls. With its close proximity to the thriving retail mecca of Causeway Bay, as well as the business districts of Central and Quarry Bay, the family-friendly neighbourhood of Fortress Hill has drawn many people there who appreciate the somewhat quieter residential vibe while still maintaining plenty of convenient central-city access. It is also home to a number of private residential estates and high-rise residential complexes (the likes of Le Sommet, Fortress Metro Tower, and Fortress Garden), but also commercial office buildings, hotels and serviced apartments. Fortress Hill has good transport connections and is serviced by the Fortress Hill MTR station, which is approximately 26 mins from Central Station. Other well-known buildings in the area include the AIA Tower, Olympia Plaza and the Electric Centre.
