Wong Tai Sin District lies in northeastern Kowloon, covering ~9 km² with over 400,000 residents as of 2025. Hong Kong’s only landlocked district. Rural in Ming, part of New Kowloon in 1937, resettlement built in 1950s. MTR Kwun Tong and Tuen Ma lines converge; Lung Cheung Road links tunnels. Highlights include famous Wong Tai Sin Temple, Tsz Wan Shan, and lush Diamond Hill Yat Tung Park. Estates like Chuk Yuen North and Choi Hung are dense. Wong Tai Sin evolved from village to religious residential area, rich in cultural aura.
