Kwun Tong District has the following subdistrict(s) : Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong, Yau Tong
Kwun Tong District lies in eastern Kowloon, facing Lion Rock to the north and Lei Yue Mun to the south, covering 11.3 km² with over 670,000 residents as of 2025 - Hong Kong’s second most populous. Called “Kwun Tong” in Northern Song, it housed official salt fields in Ming times. Reclaimed in the 1950s for industry, it pivoted to commerce by the 1980s. MTR Kwun Tong and Tuen Ma lines run through; Eastern Harbour Tunnel links Hong Kong Island.
