Located on the eastern tip of the New Territories, Clear Water Bay (清水灣) is one of Hong Kong's favourite places to go for some sun, fresh air, clear water (obviously) and an abundance of outdoor activities including hiking, jogging, dog walking, boating. With stunning vistas and open spaces, Clear Water Bay will seem like a world away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong's busy city, yet surprisingly it is only a 45-minute MTR journey to Central. Some of the areas near the bay are popular with expats. Notable places of interest include the two beaches (first beach and second beach - both of which are lifeguarded), Clear Water Bay Country Park, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Free and uncovered Clear Water Bay parking can be found at Clear Water Bay Second Beach.
