Along the blue Island MTR line from Quarry Bay and Taikoo heading West is Sai Wan Ho (西灣河) - a primarily residential area in the North Eastern shore of Hong Kong Island. Properties here are slightly larger and more affordable than neighbourhood areas closer to Central. Sai Wan Ho is described as a fairly relaxed living experience with a promenade area, a ferry service to Kowloon, and easy access to Central Station (approximately 26 minutes commute on the MTR). Places of interest include the Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, Sai Wan Ho market, Sai Wan Ho Health Centre and the nearby Aldrich Bay park which is a pleasant area for families and children to play. Private Housing estates include Lei King Wan, Les Saisons and Grand Promenade.
